Jofli met a little girl, she was looking very sad,
“Why are you unhappy” he asked, “Where are your mum and dad?”

"I don’t have a mum and dad, they were taken away from me,”
“I don’t remember much,” she said “they left when I was 3."

“So who takes care of you now?” he asked, “who feeds you and holds you tight,
Who keeps you warm and keeps you safe, and reads you a story at night?”

“Foster Carers” the little girl said, “they’re kind but I can’t stay forever.”
“I’m waiting to be adopted,” she said, “by a family who’ll love me whatever.”

“I dream of a home to call my own, and have all the things that I’ve missed,"
“But for now I just need to be patient, and hope that I’m next on the list."

For families going through the adoption and fostering process, Jofli bear can offer comfort and companionship. Jofli and his journals can continue being used with children for their ‘lifebook’ work; writing, drawing and adding their photos about their 'Journey of Life', past, present and future. This can be done by hand, like a scrap book, or online by uploading photos and images to view in a secure online journal, which can be printed whenever required.
